Step 1: How to Use TextDiff Ninja for Basic Text Comparison (Manual Mode)

TextDiff Ninja offers a simple manual mode for comparing two pieces of text.

To begin using TextDiff Ninja in manual mode, first type or paste your original text into the left panel labeled “Original Text”.

Next, type or paste your modified text into the right panel labeled “Modified Text”.

After both texts are entered, click the neon blue COMPARE button on the toolbar. 

TextDiff Ninja will instantly display the results in the bottom “Comparison Result” area without reloading the page.

Step 2: How to Enable Auto-Compare Mode in TextDiff Ninja for Real-Time Results

Text Diff Ninja includes an auto-compare feature for real-time analysis.

To activate this mode in TextDiff Ninja, check the “Auto Compare” checkbox located in the options bar.

Once enabled, start typing in either text panel. TextDiff Ninja will automatically update the comparison results after you pause typing for 500 milliseconds.

This eliminates the need to click the Compare button repeatedly.

Step 3: How to Swap and Clear Text Panels Using TextDiff Ninja

Text Diff Ninja allows you to quickly swap or clear text panels. To exchange the left and right text instantly, click the SWAP button on the toolbar.

To reset your work, click the CLEAR button. TextDiff Ninja will then empty both text panels, remove the comparison results, and reset the character counts.

Step 4: How to Switch View Modes in TextDiff Ninja

Text Diff Ninja provides two main view modes for examining differences.

The default is the Side-by-Side View, where the left side shows the original text and the right side shows the modified text, with differences aligned horizontally.

To change the display, click the “Inline” button in the center toggle.

 Text Diff Ninja will then show additions and deletions in one continuous flow, which is better for reading changes as a story.

You can switch between views anytime, and Text Diff Ninja updates the results instantly.

Text difference Ninja will load the first file into the left panel and the second file into the right panel. If Auto Compare is enabled, the results will appear automatically.

Step 7: How to Export Results from TextDiff Ninja

Text difference Ninja makes it easy to save or share your comparison results.

After comparing texts, click the COPY button to copy the results to your clipboard, then paste them anywhere like Word, email, or notepad.

Alternatively, click the DOWNLOAD button, which has a neon blue outline. 

Text difference Ninja will save the file as textdiff-result-[timestamp].html.

You can open this file in any browser, and the formatted colors will be preserved.

On very small screens below 480 pixels, Text difference Ninja shows a compact header with minimal button padding, and the textareas adjust to the viewport height.
